Selection process
Up to twelve scripts will be selected for the Program (maximum two
co-writers for the script). If applying as co-writers, please state this
clearly in the application form, and provide separate application
package for each co-writer. Selection decisions are entirely up to the
Organizer. Due to the quantity of applications, the Organizer does not
explain and inform about the reasons why the script was not selected.
Shortlisted applicants will be contacted at the end of August 2010.
Also at the end of August 2010, the rest of the applicants will receive
information that their project was not selected.
Application package
The basis of selection will be new theatrical feature film scripts and
their authors.
Applicants must be nationals of any country participating in the MEDIA
Programme. However, ScripTeast has been developed to focus on Central
and Eastern European countries.
Applicant must present a credit of at least one produced theatrical
feature film, or a credit of at least one produced television feature
film or TV series, or have extensive experience as a writer, journalist
or director.
The submitted script of a theatrical feature film must be an original
work, planned for production not earlier than Spring 2011.
The script must not be submitted to any other scriptwriters' workshop
program at the same time.
The script needs to be as close to finish as possible. The participants
should be open and willing to receive advice from others. Application
package should contain (in English):
- Application form

- Synopsis (max. 3 pages)
- CV (including professional experience, achievements and awards)
- Cover letter stating what the applicant wishes to achieve in
ScripTeast
Applications should be sent by post AND e-mail.
Applications will not be accepted by fax. Submitted scripts, application
forms and other materials WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Unsuccessful
applications will be disposed of safely. Deadline for this year's
applications is in the end of July. There is no application fee.
Costs
Participation fee is 300 euro. Organizer covers all costs of
participation (including travel, accommodation, full board, festival
accreditations and on-line consultations).
Bursaries and grants
Two scholarships are available (covering all costs of participation).
Special consideration is given to applicants from countries with
comparatively limited film industry. Applicants should submit a letter
of application for scholarship addressed to the Artistic Director of the
Program outlining their circumstances and their reasons for requesting a
scholarship.
Obligations
Participants qualified for the Program will be obliged to pay 300 euro
and send the confirmation of payment to the Organizer by fax or email
before the Stationary Workshop in Poland (participants will be informed
how to pay the fee when they are shortlisted).
If selected, the applicant will be obliged to take part in the entire
yearlong program of ScripTeast. If a participant fails to attend any
Stationary Workshop without giving a serious reason, he/she must pay
back all the costs incurred by the Organizer (participation fee and
other actual costs incurred by the Organizer in order to create his/her
place in the Program).
