University of New Hampshire - Two Public Speaking Lecturers for 2010-2011

The Department of Communication at the University of New Hampshire invites applicants for two non-tenure track benefits eligible Lecturers in Communication Studies for the 2010-11 academic year.


The Department seeks experienced individuals to inaugurate a new introductory public speaking program for non-majors. Successful candidates will also have expertise sufficient to teach the department's advanced public course speaking course, Public Speaking as a Civic Art, from a rhetorical perspective. The teaching load is six courses per academic year.

Ph.D or ABD preferred; qualified candidates with master's degrees will be considered.

Send a letter of application, vita, statement of teaching philosophy, sample syllabi, teaching evaluations, and three letters of recommendation by July 1, 2010, to Professor James Farrell, Department of Communication, Horton Social Science Building, 20 academic Way, University of New Hampshire, Durham, NH 03824-3586.
